AM Interior Design Services is a full-service Interior Design firm that offers commercial and residential design. We master each project from concept to completion, capturing every last detail and creating a space that is refreshingly modern yet endlessly classic. We strive to exceed our clients’ expectations by finishing the space in a way that will stand the test of time.

Great styling is meant to look good and serves a purpose. Styling comes in at the last step of the design process. Once the walls are built, and the floors are installed the finishing touch is applied. Everything from furniture to flowers. This part of the design is carefully thought out for each space. Furniture is purchased for the finished room, drapery fabric is picked and custom made, area rugs, accents cushions, and throws are all picked to style the room. Decor in a room is meant to inspire and function for the people using the space.

History of Interior Design Services

Fern Erickson created Interior Design Services in Dawson Creek in 1972 and in 1997 was purchased by Catherine Gilberston and Lana Wilfur. Lana became the sole owner in 2000 and for 15 years created a name for this business under light decor services, custom drapery, blinds and upholstery. Alison started working with Lana and IDS in January of 2013 and purchased the business from Lana in Septermber 2015. Alison still offers custom drapery, upholstery and blinds however the main focus of IDS now is designing of Interiors for commercial and residential projects; working with contractors, home owners and business owners in western Canada.
