The West Ridge Project

This was a FUN project and had a bit of an interesting start. I first came to this clients home right before Covid, early 2020 we made some plans and preliminary designs. I went away to Mexico in March came home and Covid hit! So needless to say the project stoped before it even got off the ground and we came back around the following year early 2021. We refreshed the main floor kitchen, fireplace, main bathroom, ensuite and primary bedroom. We also changed the paint colours through out the main floor, and added new lighting.

KITCHEN DETAILS

The clients weren’t interested in ripping out any walls, and did like the configuration of their kitchen but did want to update the look and teh functionality. This kitchen has MOST of the same boxes, and all of the cabinet doors and drawers are new. We also installed a completely new island with a microwave drawer, and plenty of drawers with soft close hinges. The kitchen now has a gas stove, a stainless steel hood fan and a very stunning grey textured subway tile we used as an accent above the stove. We finished the kitchen with quartz counter topes, matte black handles and a glass display cabinet. We even managed to tuck in a pantry cabinet right around the corner from their fridge to store all their case goods.

bathroom details

We kept the clean lines, and a fresh look throughout the home, with light grey cabinetry in the bathroom, and a matte black finish on all handles, faucets, accessories and lighting.

MAIN LIVING SPACE MAKEOVER

— THE RESULT —

THE MANTLE - is a hand scrapped piece made to look very old, this was installed and made by Dawson Cabinets. The client had other pieces in their home with this same feel so we wanted to add to that and give them a more substantial mantle for the centre of their living room. We also feel like the warmth the wood has compliments the clean concrete feel of the tile we place on the fireplace surround. Finishing off this fireplace with a very modern touch.

It takes a handful of people to complete a renovation like this. Here are the trades that were used in this renovation.
